I was with President Widodo, what is the dimension of your problem? In Indonesia, we have 4 million drug addicts. Eh, sabi ko, nauna ka lang pala ng ilang thousand! We are really worried. Ganito yan.

I never made a statement here. Do not believe that. There was never any interview here. But kung mag spin itong media, that’s why I said, if you are really, my advice for you, magkaibigan lang, for whatever reason, what can you say, kung ano masabi mo, because they can spin stories several times over and all lies, I never confronted Obama here cause I do not know him. Before taking off from Davao, nagkaroon ng presscon.

Alam mo, ganito yan, itong mga yellow, may jaundice eh, at itong mga taga State Department, mabasa ninyo ang Philippine news that they were trying to crucify me for the extra judicial killing at sabing ganun, I will be investigated by the international court. Di hinayaan ko na lang. Sabi ko, United States, why? Or should I answer them? Eh bakit? So yung ganun. And that there will be a certain time that Obama will ask me about the human rights problem. Sabi ko, I do not answer to anybody except to the Filipino people. I am only responsible to you. Kaya sabi ko, “Who he?” yun ang sinabi ko. if somebody brings it out, and that was in the airport in Davao City, it would be an act of disrespect. Bastos yan. Yun lang ang sinabi ko. and you can review the tapes. Hindi ko sinabing #$%@. May sinabi ako, not in relation with Obama.

He also cited about a live report of Ed Lingao that is immediately picked by the international press.

Ed Lingao’s apology letter

You can review the tape because about yesterday, si Ed Lingao, whom, yung breaking news naglagay doon ng statement na minura ko daw si Obama. Ed Lingao, just also read it from the report from the correspondents in Davao. Ni review niya. Sya yung anchor eh. Then I found out, andiyan, lumabas sa Facebook, he apologized. Because I never made any reference to Obama. Kaya pinapaaway lang.

Apalit, Pampanga Philippines [8/22/2016]  After President Rodrigo Duterte had broken all customs of what a politician should be, should sound like, what topics should be discussed, the “morale” of the Filipino people is at its highest.  Disgusted from previous presidents, now the tunnel of light is seen for the Philippines’ economical boost and a drug-free country.

Mr. Miller : At the risk of being shot down, the numbers of people who’ve being killed in the streets of the Philippines since you come into power, 6 weeks ago, has risen into thousand. I know you have been contentious of your critics, but, they are accusing you of unleashing a national death squad. When is this gonna end?

Pres. Duterte: That is a very good question. Because in the past, no political leaders is really willing to work and risk his life. The standard practice in this system of government is that, when they accused, they would always file a counter-charge. They always use that poor leverage against the poor policeman. Remember in this country, no lawyer is provided for the policeman and other security officers when they are in trouble with the law. They are left on the mercy of their own. That was the policy beforehand the previous ones they left behind.

The foreign journalist followed up with the question that pointing out, the president being a lawyer. A simple practice, that a person is innocent until proven guilty.

The president, giving some statistics about how prevalent the drug problem is in the country, describing the current situation as “pandemic”.

According to Paola Alvarez, incoming Finance Department spokesperson, by implementing the dress code, the presidents message should be the focus and not dividing the limelight.

Downgrade the grand entrances and upgrading the statement to the nation. That is all that matters to the people. After all, it is for the people to know how the new president has done and future plans for the nation.
