Guihulngan, Negros Oriental, Philippines (2/7/2014) The much anticipated debate between Bro. Eli Soriano of Ang Dating Daan and Mr. Eusebio Catarinen of Church of Christ took place on February 7, 2014 as both parties is provided 15 minutes. The live debate is aired in all 1,281 remote satellite stations nationwide. Bro. Eli is on the negative side while Mr. Catarinen takes on the affirmative side.
The program Ang Dating Daan re-scheduled the monthly Bible Exposition to give way to the debate. This special event is also promoted through different social media. The hashtag #DebateBroEli seated 5th on Trending Topics, Facebook and Twitter. But as the debate progressed, it reached the #1 spot.
For a fair debate, the moderators and time keepers are not affiliated to both parties. Mr. Simpicio Villegas Mijarez (Catholic); timekeepers: Janice B. Bulandres (New Apostolic) and Mr. Roejen M. Tejano (Born Again) joined the panel.

Mr. Catarinen had been bashing and throwing hurtful words to his person, thus, saying malicious words to the organizers halfway the event.
The Topic: I will prove that our Lord Jesus Christ s the founder of the true church and He is also the owner of the true church based on the Bible.
Bro. Eli implies that the Church is an entity. A group that the Father owns. People around the globe witnessed and definitely learned a lot from the debate, even the moderator, who admitted and understood the essence of who owns the church. The church is an entity owned by the Father.
